"In order to keep the calendar synchronized with the seasons, i.e., with the solar year, the heliacal rising of Sirius was used. This period, when 1 Thot coincides again with the Nile flooding and with the heliacal rising of Sirius, marks therefore the "Sothis period". The Roman historian Censorinus wrote in the third century CE that the heliacal rising fell on Egyptian New Year in 139 CE. If the heliacal rising of Sirius and the beginning of the year really corresponded at the time the Egyptian calendar was introduced, it implies that the years 1322 BCE, 2782 BCE, or even 4242 BCE were beginnings of Sothic cycles.

The exact dates of heliacal rising of Sirius, as viewed from a site at latitude 30° North, were calculated by Schaefer as July 16 for the year 3500 BCE, July 17 in 1500 BCE, and July 20 in 500 CE. Then it disappears in the Sun's glare for some days, and at the end of the period starts rising just a bit before the Sun does. Shaefer mentioned that the actual date of a specific helical rising could vary by a few days, depending on the actual atmospheric extinction and on other random factors.

July 16, 1999: Stanley Kubrick's movie "Eyes Wide Shut" is released. "Stanley Kubrick's film EYES WIDE SHUT is an exposé of a sinister brainwashing technique used by the world's ruling class. The two main characters in the film, Dr. Bill Harford and his wife, Alice, seem to accept the world at face value, but then Dr. Harford has a life-changing experience. He sneaks in to a party where everyone is masked, and while he's there he witnesses a satanic ritual. The ritual is followed by an orgy involving obviously well-placed men and dozens of beautiful women. The experience is so bizarre that Harford spends the next day trying to find out exactly what was going on at the party. His inquiries lead to his life being threatened. Meanwhile, Alice Harford is having an identity crisis, and during the course of her unraveling we come to suspect that she may have a past similar to that of the women at the party. That's the movie in a nutshell--two simple story lines that touch, and they both deal with trauma-based mind control. . . . Stanley Kubrick is believed by many (including this author) to have been the one chosen to direct the moonlanding hoax prior to the July 16 launch of Apollo 11. If such is truly the case, then this would explain why he specifically chose to release Eyes Wide Shut on July 16, 1999. There are several examples which could be demonstrated from his movies, starting with 2001: A Space Oddessy. One example comes from his movie The Shining, and the clip below illustrates this point quite clearly.

This movie clip above is from "The Shining," which also delves (like so many of his other movies) into the subject of mind control. It also offers strong evidence that Kubrick is trying to give us very direct hints that he was the director of the Apollo moonlanding hoax. The boy wears an Apollo 11 shirt, and appears to be "lifting off" as he rises up. As he walks down the hallway he is brought to room 237, representing the supposed trip to the moon. Throuhout the movie, nothing that happens in room 237 is what it appears to be. For instance, the beautiful naked woman that Jack discovers in room 237 turns out to be a rotting old hag. While the more exact measure of the average distance is 238,857 miles, the moons average distance from the earth is oftentimes rounded and listed as 237 thousand miles away. This is not the only part of the movie which references the moon landings, but it is the most blatant.

July 16, 1999: On the exact same date that Eyes Wide Shut is released, KFK Jr. is killed in a mysterious plane crash.
