How Public Schools Dumb Down Society

Do we really need to send our children to school? I am not saying it is not important to educate our children, what I am talking about is the regimented routine of compulsory (uh, that means forced) education through a politically manipulated system that is more designed to keep society (which starts with the children) dumbed down, incapable of either creative or logical thinking, nor productive living, nor any real awareness of the realities of life. I don't think you have to be a prophet to see that what we call education here in the United States (and many other places around the world that follow the same or a similar model) is really not intended to better the lives of the children, their families, and society in general. The purpose of education (based upon my observation and the observation of many others) is to enslave society, to create robotic clones that are merely "cogs in the wheel" and that only know how to do their little job that they have been given to do, to prevent people from having self determination, to "put down dissent and originality" (as mentioned above in the quote from Henry Louis Mencken).
Look at the great statesmen and other great men of history, such as Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Thomas Edison, Mark Twain. These people never graduated from a formal "secondary" school (high school), although they were well educated. By the age of about 13 to 15 most children were not even considered "children" anymore, and were treated practically like adults. They could read, write, and were knowledgeable about the arts and sciences. They didn't need "new math," and they could read all the best literature, because their skills in math and language arts were generally far superior to our own today.
The purpose of education in the public sector should be to spread enlightenment to all, so that they could have a better life and share that knowledge with others so that we can all work together to have a better society. But the evidence appears to show that public education is doing just the opposite, and it appears that this is not by accident, but by design! Any educator who is caught actually trying to "educate" children through avoidance or deviation from the official "curriculum" will often be criticized, harassed, and eventually fired from their job, just as John Taylor Gatto was recently. And if this is true, then they actually want to dumb down society. Think about it this way: If you were placed in charge of running the affairs of some big company, and you were a liar and a thief, but you could not run it all by yourself and had to hire people to help you run the machinery, would you want to hire people who were generally honest, good with critical thinking skills, good with math, and have a good memory? Of course not! If you did that then they might get wise to your "scam" and turn you into the local authorities. Now apply what I just said ON A NATIONAL AND EVEN AN INTERNATIONAL LEVEL!! What if the leaders of our nations beat the drums of war from time to time, and wave the patriotic flag with self serving references to "protecting our freedoms," when all along it is merely a huge scam? Do you think they would have an interest in keeping the population dumbed down? Now on Star Trek TNG they had an enemy called "the BORG" (a cube like structure that was a mixture of human and machine). Their favorite saying was "resistence is futile," and "you will be assimilated!" Is it just me, or is this a somewhat veiled reference to our own current society, especially the educational system? What is the difference between "the Cube" on Star Trek, and the "Cubical" in the traditional office setting?
After the introduction of "Outcome Based Education" in the 1960's, the shift from traditional education to the quantum mess we have now had gone into full production. After that time the focus of education would always be on the importance of the group and not the individual, so that we could all be very highly skilled "cogs in the wheel!" And recently the "No Child Left Behind" program was implemented on a national level. Let me explain what that really means in layman's terms: If some children get "behind" in certain areas, the teacher has to stop educating the more advanced learners and focus on those that are having problems. While this may seem noble, the result is that the more advanced students are "held back" and prevented from excelling as they should be allowed to do. So what is the real meaning of "No Child Left Behind" to those who pull the strings behind the scenes? The real meaning is this: They cannot afford to allow any child to "slip through the cracks" and actually become fully educated! If such a child were to really excel beyond the low level thinking skills that they really want to see developed, then that child could pose a problem to them in the future, and expose their huge monstrous scam for what it really is. What they really want us to have is a very limited, very focused, education that only teaches us how to do a few certain things. That way, we will never be able to "get the big picture" of what is really going on, and so when we need something we will always have to depend on their "professionals" (doctors, lawyers, psychologists, merchants, etc.) to help us fix those things that we cannot fix, and keep us forever dependant upon that system of social slavery! It is, in my opinion, the fulfillment of George Orwell's 1984 and Aldous Huxley's Brave New World. We need not wait for the future fulfillment of these epic stories--we have already arrived!

The Truth about Federal schooling - future slaves in the making
In this video we are presented with the concept that schooling is a form of adoption, based upon the idea that the state knows better how to educate children than the parents. As a result, teachers are forced to accept and strictly follow the state mandated curriculum, and provide testing which confirms whether the students are following that curriculum or not. The original teaching curriculum came from Prussia in the 1840's. It's utopian objectives were to make children turn away from their parents and turn toward the state as their adoptive parents. This public school program is mandatory (by force), but if it were not forced upon the public, this system would (within about a half decade) be abandoned.
